Sermon Series for Hosanna Main: “PILLARS OF PRAYER”

The Prayer of Jesus series is a reflective walk through the Lord’s Prayer. The prayer Jesus teaches us is intended to lead us to intimacy with the God who has loved us. A main resource for this series is Hank Hanegraaff’s book The Prayer of Jesus.

Sermon Series for Hosanna Highland:
“When Trouble Comes”

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)

trouble comes and we are scattered

hiding in our broken homes standing behind doors of self-righteousness

fading into the shadow of our old hurts

curing up into worn old chairs of lingering

regret shame guilt & hopelessness

our troubles are too great for us we cannot overcome them

this is our life in Lent

40 days wandering in trouble’s sorrow

as Jesus leads us to discover triumph’s joy

Jesus did not hid Himself from all of our troubles

He walked right into them

along & unwavering

in full view of every trouble maker

holding up the love of His Father for the world

and a cross with His name on it

to overcome our troubles with grace

and power to pull us out of the tombs we hid ourselves in

this is our life in Lent

this is our life in Jesus

bring your troubles to the Lord

cry out to Him

and He will answer your prayer
