Marrying at Hosanna

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman, ‘ for she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Genesis 2:22-24

weddingIf you are interested in marrying at Hosanna Lutheran Church, your first step is to contact Pam Schultze, (hosanna@hosannamankato.com) or 507-388-1766, about reserving a date. The wedding date is secured when an information form and a $100 deposit has been submitted to Pam. At the same time, you can pick up a wedding packet or view the wedding packet by clicking the link below. The packet describes the process from reservation date until wedding day, offers suggestions for readings and vows, and includes other helpful information.

Planning a Wedding at Hosanna

Please be prepared to attend a pre-marriage day retreat (approximately 9 am – 3 pm) in February or March of the year of your ceremony. This retreat, along with 2 counseling sessions with the presiding pastor, will fulfill the required 12 hours to earn a reduction in the marriage license fee offered by the county. For details about applying for a marriage license in Blue Earth County, please click http://www.blueearthcountymn.gov/?nid=857.

In January of the ceremony year, a wedding coordinator will contact you about the specifics of the wedding ceremony.  Also, please contact Cindy Rupp, Director of Music, music@hosannamankato.com or 507-388-1766, to arrange music for the wedding ceremony. This is necessary, even if you are arranging other musicians for the ceremony.

The wedding rehearsal will be planned with your wedding coordinator. Remaining fees are due on the wedding rehearsal day.

Blessings on your wedding day and your lifetime as husband and wife!
