Confirmation is a two-year program from
7th through 8th grade.
We teach Luther’s Small Catechism and an overview of the Holy Bible.
*First Communion instruction is given in 5th grade.
We meet in a large group/small group format on
Wednesday nights 6-8pm (Sept-May).
Each meeting includes participation in:
- A youth worship service (R.O.C.K.)
- 15 minute snack/fellowship break (Refuel)
- A small group led by an adult (Lifeguard)
In addition, we encourage involvement in our monthly planned large group activities.Check the calendar for links and info on these.
What is requested of 7th and 8th graders?
- Consistent attendance of the Wednesday night program
- Involvement in additional large group activities
- Participation in Urban Immersion Retreat (8th grade)
- A written faith statement (8th grade)
- Words and actions that abide by TLS respect and safety expectations.
What is requested of parents?
- Discussion with your teens based on Take Home sheets from Hosanna
- Participation in Parenting Teens class led by Dave Zellar
- A completed registration form and $25 program fee.
