Food for Friends
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40
If the idea of helping others and making new friends in “your own backyard” is appealing, here is a wonderful opportunity for you! Hosanna Lutheran Church is one of a number of church-based groups that offers to serve the noon meal on Saturdays at The Salvation Army. Volunteers sign up to make the meal, serve the meal, and/or clean up afterward. If you prefer, desserts are needed and can be brought to the church in advance of the serving date. The commitment is minimal; the volunteers come at 11 o’clock and are done by 2 o’clock.
If this volunteer opportunity piques your interest, look for a sign-up sheet at Hosanna’s sign-up center 3-4 weeks before our serving date. For more about the Food for Friends program, please contact the John Fitzpatrick, Coordinator, by calling the church office, 507-388-1766.
